Born in Mexico, trained as an architect, Arturo grew up in a small midwest town in Iowa. After studying at The University of Iowa and The University of Minnesota, Arturo established the multi-disciplinary studio ArchonDesign in 1991.
Despite having no formal training in photography, Arturo's distinct visual approach and candid photographic work focuses on discovering and capturing those spontaneous unguarded moments, offering us a personal insight to the life that surrounds him.
His work has been featured in Communication Arts, adiseño, and shown at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography, Leica Gallery Miami, Blank Wall Gallery Group Exhibition, Athens, Greece, Foley Gallery: The Print Swap Group Exhibition, New York, The Perfect Exposure Gallery, Los Angeles, Alti+Bir Gallery, Ankara, Turkey and received the Silver Medal in the Maghreb Photography Awards 2021. Arturo's prints can be found in a constantly growing number of private and corporate collections.
